This paper compares
the quantum standing wave to the classic electromagnetic standing wave
and how the two are so very much alike. From the electromagnetic standing
wave an expression for rest mass is derived. Since the electromagnetic
standing wave is shown to be equivalent to the quantum standing wave, the
concept of energy jump of a macro system vehicle is introduced which may
allow for instantaneous travel to any place in the universe.
